There is no denying that the culture of alcohol drinking in Poland is growing year by year. Nowadays, it is not just ordinary vodka or beer that appears on Polish tables, but above all very good wines, which are meticulously and carefully selected. At the same time, it should be borne in mind that we are still a relatively modest society in terms of earnings, so many people pay attention to the price of wine. Fortunately, in the offer of the two most popular discount stores in Poland, a huge selection of really good quality wines can be found. Top 10 wines up to PLN 30 - what is worth reaching for?

How do you choose a good wine?

How can you easily tell whether a particular wine will taste good and be worth reaching for? As it turns out, there is a fairly simple method to assess the quality of a particular wine even before you open it.

Of course, a lot about how to appreciate a particular wine depends on what your taste is - some people like dry wines better, while others like sweet wines. So it's worth defining exactly what you're looking for right from the start. However, regardless of the type of wine, the key information for everyone should be the place of bottling. This means, of course, where it was poured into the bottle and sealed. If it was bottled in the country of origin, you can buy it blind. This is because it will be characterised by a truly excellent full-bodied taste and richness of aroma. Wines that are bottled locally, i.e. in large bulk packs, generally have a slightly poorer taste and are not to be preferred.

Does price matter to wine quality?

Another very important point to learn a little more about is the price of wine. Many people think that cheap wine is doomed in advance when it comes to a taste clash with more expensive spirits. Is this really the case?

As mentioned earlier, a lot here really depends on a person's taste. It is accepted, however, that price is not always of the greatest importance. What matters is the grape variety of the vine in question, country of originand, of course, the bottling location. If you pay attention to these few components when buying, you can easily purchase a wine for up to 30 zlotys that will delight the taste of even the most sophisticated gourmet.
